Terms & Conditions:
These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by First Swing Golf Equipment & Repairs, including golf club repairs, grip replacement, shaft repairs and replacements, club maintenance, equipment advice, and selected accessory support. By requesting a quote, booking a service, leaving equipment for assessment, or purchasing goods or services from First Swing Golf Equipment & Repairs, the customer agrees to these terms.
1. Quotes and Estimates • Any quote or estimate provided is based on the information available at the time of assessment. • Additional costs may apply if further faults, damage, parts, or labour requirements are identified during the repair process. • Customers will be contacted for approval before any significant additional work is completed. • Quotes are valid for 14 days unless otherwise stated.
2. Bookings, Turnaround Times, and Delays • Estimated completion times are provided as a guide only and may vary depending on parts availability, workload, supplier delays, and the condition of the equipment. • First Swing Golf Equipment & Repairs will make reasonable efforts to complete services within the agreed or estimated timeframe. • The customer acknowledges that some repairs may require specialist parts or third-party supplier support, which may affect completion time.
3. Customer Equipment • Customers are responsible for ensuring that all equipment provided for repair or maintenance is legally owned by them or that they have permission to request work on it. • Customers should remove any personal items from golf bags, covers, accessories, or equipment before leaving items with First Swing Golf Equipment & Repairs. • First Swing Golf Equipment & Repairs will take reasonable care of customer equipment while it is in its possession. • The business is not responsible for pre-existing damage, hidden defects, normal wear and tear, or issues that become apparent during assessment or repair.

4. Repairs, Parts, and Service Limitations • Repairs will be completed with reasonable care and skill. • Where replacement parts are required, parts may be new, compatible, aftermarket, or equivalent parts unless a specific part has been agreed with the customer. • Some equipment may not be repairable due to age, condition, availability of parts, safety concerns, or cost-effectiveness. • First Swing Golf Equipment & Repairs may decline to complete work where it believes a repair is unsafe, unsuitable, uneconomical, or unlikely to provide a reliable result. • Advice provided is based on the condition of the equipment and the information supplied by the customer at the time.
5. Payment Terms • Payment is due on completion of the service and before equipment is returned to the customer, unless otherwise agreed in writing. • Accepted payment methods will be confirmed at the time of booking or collection. • Deposits may be required for special-order parts, higher-value repairs, or customized work. • Special-order parts, once approved and ordered, may not be refundable if the customer cancels the work after the order has been placed.
6. Cancellations and Uncollected Equipment • Customers should notify First Swing Golf Equipment & Repairs as soon as possible if they wish to cancel a booking or repair request. • If work has already started, the customer may be required to pay for labour, parts, or costs already incurred. • Customers will be contacted when their equipment is ready for collection. • If equipment remains uncollected for more than 30 days after notification, First Swing Golf Equipment & Repairs may charge reasonable storage fees. • If equipment remains uncollected for an extended period after reasonable attempts to contact the customer, further action may be taken in accordance with applicable law.
7. Warranties and Workmanship • First Swing Golf Equipment & Repairs aims to provide reliable workmanship and practical repair solutions. • If a customer believes there is an issue with completed work, they should contact the business as soon as possible so the matter can be assessed. • Any workmanship issue will be considered in light of the original repair, the condition of the equipment, normal wear and tear, customer use, and any manufacturer or supplier limitations. • This does not cover damage caused by misuse, impact, alteration by another person, lack of maintenance, normal wear and tear, or use outside the intended purpose of the equipment.
8. Consumer Rights Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to limit or remove any rights a customer may have under New Zealand consumer law, including the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair-Trading Act 1986, where those laws apply. Services will be carried out with reasonable care and skill, and goods or parts supplied will be expected to meet applicable consumer guarantees.
9. Liability • First Swing Golf Equipment & Repairs will not be liable for loss or damage caused by incorrect information provided by the customer, pre-existing equipment faults, hidden defects, misuse, third-party work, or events outside its reasonable control. • Where permitted by law, liability is limited to the cost of the service provided or the cost of remedying the relevant issue. • Nothing in this section limits any customer rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
10. Customer Responsibilities • Customers must provide accurate information about the equipment, its history, known faults, and intended use. • Customers should follow any care, use, or maintenance guidance provided after a repair or service. • Customers are responsible for checking completed work at collection and raising any concerns promptly.
